Have you ever ridden a roller coaster? Then you have experienced energy. There is a low amount of KE (kinetic energy) at the beginning of the roller coaster because it’s in motion but not going very fast. There was no GPE (Gravitational potential energy) at the beginning of the rollercoaster because the roller coaster couldn’t go any lower. At point one there was a maximum amount of GPE because the roller coaster is at the highest point. At point one there was no KE because the roller coaster is not moving. Then at point two there is no GPE because the roller coaster is at the lowest point. There is maximum amount of KE because the roller coaster is going the fastest it can. At point six there is an even amount of GPE because it is half way down to the ground. There is an even amount of KE because in had a slower speed but is still moving. The higher the roller coaster the more GPE there is. The faster the rollercoaster the more KE there is.
